![]() Linda passed away peacefully with her family by her side.Ī celebration of life will be held Apat 1:00 pm at Cherished Memories Funeral Chapel, in Martensville. Her very contagious laughter will be remembered by all that had the honour to meet her and hear it. But what we all will miss the most is that laugh. Their legendary perogies were the biggest hit on the holidays. Linda was not only loved by her and Bernies’s families, (who embraced her so dearly that his siblings called her sister), but by her closest and dearest friend, the late Lynda Salahub Together they spent a lot of time socializing and making perogies for extra money. If you accepted, you were usually on the receiving end of a big loss that she was not afraid to let you know about. When Linda was with family and friends, you would be hard- pressed not to find her challenging you to a game of Rummy, Crib, Dice, or Kaiser. Her hobbies of gardening, crocheting, and cooking were all loved by everyone that had the privilege of enjoying them. She would spend hours searching the city for just the right plants to fill her flower garden. Linda loved bowling and for many years she could be found with her friends, playing in a league at Fairhaven Bowl. She was embraced by her Texas family and enjoyed the break from the Saskatchewan weather in the warm Texas sun. Mike was sure to have a new stop planned for her each time she arrived, so that every trip felt like a new one. This became her annual destination where she could spend precious time with Tanya, and her newly acquired family. Linda found another joy and getaway when her daughter Tanya got married and moved to Texas. She was sure to bring her bush pie and card skills with her. Linda kept her love for lake life alive, enjoying her trips to Turtle Lake with Dean and his family, and back to Candle with Kim and her family. Days were filled with boating, beach time, and cooking bush pies around the campfire while the sun set. Many happy memories were made there with Bernie’s brother Terry and wife Libby, as well as their close friends Fay and Brian. When her children were young, summers were usually spent at Sandy Bay Campground at Candle Lake. When they were grown, she decided she wasn’t done! She took on the responsibility of running a before and after-school program where she brought joy and love to all of her kids. She made it a priority to be a stay-at-home mom for her 3 children. Throughout their marriage, they built a life together in Saskatoon where they purchased a house on Steeves Ave where they resided for 46 years. Her daughter Kim (Sean) grandchildren Rylee, Kaitlyn and Baylie and her daughter Tanya (Mike) grandchild Drew (Ashliegh), as well as her beloved dog Bella. Her son Dean (Colleen) grandchildren Jackson and Paige. Linda is survived by her husband of 54 years Bernie, and 3 loving children. She met and married her first love Bernie Michalenko on October 19, 1968. She was born in Saskatoon where she resided throughout her life. ![]() Linda was predeceased by her parents Ralph and Esther Beckett. It is with profound sadness that the family of Linda Mary Michalenko announces her sudden passing, on Apat the age of 73. Although Connor’s time with us was far too short, his spirit and love will remain with us always.Ĭelebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, at 3:00 pm at Cherished Memories Funeral Chapel, 591 Centennial Dr N, Martensville, SK. He will always hold a special place in everyone’s hearts. His memory and cherished stories will live on forever. There are no words to express how much Connor will be missed. Connor had an exceptional ability to fix anything just by looking at it. He loved being outdoors, fishing, barbecuing, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand. Connor was also an aspiring heavy-duty mechanic, and he had plans to travel the world after moving to Calgary. He was never shy about expressing his love and appreciation for them. Connor was passionate about his friends and loved them like they were family. As Connor would say, he had some “deadly stories” to tell. He was the life of the party and was always up for a good time. Ask anyone who knew Connor and they’ll likely have a funny story or memory to share. He also leaves behind his devoted and loving mother, Jennifer, a hundred friends that he called family, a loving family, including and his second family, the Bird/Husak family. ![]() Connor is survived by his big sister, Mckara, and big brother Keith, who were the best siblings he could have asked for. His caring and kind nature left an everlasting impact on those who were fortunate enough to know him. He had a heart of gold and was loved deeply by everyone he encountered. Connor’s contagious laugh and bright smile lit up every room he entered.
